Rodney is the last blacksmith employed in the huge Inversk forge in Launceston. From the age of 15, he worked there for 36 years until it closed in 1994.

The mirror refers us here to the fire that animated each chimney of this forge located on the most important railway construction site of Tasmania symbol of the beginning of industrialization.
The aborigines were very surprised by this strange tool brought by the Europeans when they arrived on their lands.
